Change is a process

Graphic: head function of change

You understand that treatment and recovery for drug and alcohol abuse and mental health disorders is a process — not an event. That’s why we call it “The Road” to recovery.

There will be times when you need to surrender yourself and just trust in the process in order to experience progress.

Change can be that hard. Know you are not alone. We’re here for you. You can meet with us in individual sessions or in group therapy. Many of our patients prefer both.

In the beginning we meet with you individually so we can focus on your story, your dreams, and your recovery. We understand that recovery is as unique as you are. “One size does not fit all” when developing the way forward in your recovery process. Together we find a path that works for you.

Commit

Consistently we see more successes in our patients who believe in the process and commit to it. We have found that committing

  • to living a healthy life style,
  • following your doctor’s orders, and
  • consistently attending therapy sessions

work hand in hand in a successful recovery process.

Short Term

It’s also important to be inspired because it isn’t easy in the short term. It helps to talk about what you’re going through and how you’re feeling. We often share stories of others who have gone before you.

The synergy in group therapy can also provide you strength by seeing first hand how others progress through their recovery process.

Long Term

In the long term, however, your life becomes so much better. We know. Some of us have experienced the change to sobriety first hand.

All of us at The Caring Center have seen patients reach their goals and live successful lives with families, friends, and communities.

We believe you can too.

Give us a call at 316-295-4800 or drop us a line using our contact form. Take care.
