Our Approach

“The opposite of addiction is not sobriety. The opposite of addiction is human connection.”

Johann Hari, Journalist

The Caring Center of Wichita recognizes dependence on an addictive substance as a disease. Addiction is a public health problem.

If you suffer from this disease of the brain, you will be treated as a patient, not a prisoner at The Caring Center. We customize our treatment program to fit your needs. Our approach is open and holistic. Our goal is to help you reconnect to your life and the people you love. Our mission is you.

We care. Where you are at in your recovery process is where we will meet.

Treatment and recovery for drug and alcohol use disorders is a process, not an event. You must commit to the process in order for your life to change. Consistent attendance, being present during our sessions, and connecting with others can help speed up your recovery process.

Once you recognize the problem you have with drug dependence, you will need a concentrated desire to improve your life situation — to be free from abusing drugs. We help you regain your decision-making tasks that allow you to process the long-term consequences versus short-sighted gains.

When you surrender over to your recovery, we will be there with you on that road. It takes focus, commitment, and action. You can do it.

Give us a call. You’ll be glad you did.
