Heather Rea Carty, LMSW, LMAC
Under Clinical Supervision

Since entering the behavioral health field in 1998, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families affected by trauma, addiction, mental health challenges, grief, and life’s many transitions. My professional experience includes community mental health, outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient treatment, residential treatment, secure care settings, medication-assisted treatment, case management, crisis intervention, and addiction recovery services.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker and Licensed Master Addiction Counselor, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and families facing substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, and significant life stressors. For eight years, I provided addiction treatment services within the foster care system, supporting parents and families involved in child welfare as they worked toward recovery, stability, and reunification.

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe that people are not defined by their struggles and that healing begins with understanding, connection, and support. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

Whether you are navigating trauma, recovery, grief, anxiety, depression, or a major life transition, my goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you on your path toward healing and growth. I believe healing happens one step at a time, and you do not have to walk that path alone.
